You didn’t really believe that, did you?

We’re travellers at heart, always chasing good food, good drinks, and the kind of places where memories are made.

One of our favourite chapters in that journey was a past life in Budapest, where we fell head over heels for their iconic cherry beer.

It wasn’t like the Belgian krieks, not quite like the French ones either; kinda similar, but still so different. Crisp, fruity, refreshing, with that ruby-red glow. We’d sip it by the Danube on sunny afternoons, and it was the taste of pure joy.

Coming back to Australia, we searched high and low, but nothing came close. We tried every cherry beer we could find (seriously, all of them 😅), and none even scratched the surface. We were never satisfied, we really missed those fruity, fresh sips in the sun.

We couldn’t stop thinking about how amazing it would be to have that same feeling here. So, we decided to brew it ourselves and share the love.

Being total beach lovers (and beach club lovers too, let’s be honest 😎), we wanted to bring more than just a beer, we wanted to bring a vibe. We’re as much about the atmosphere as we are about the beer.

Today, people order a Gold Coast Cherry like they’d order a XXXX or a Great Northern… but what they’re really getting is something special: the real Cherry Beer, Brewed Down Under, Loved All Over.
